Stories and Tall Tales

DISCLAIMER: I've got (supposedly) sane friends who jump out of perfectly good airplanes - for "fun". Me, I'd probably go down with the ship even if it was on fire, as long as it wasn't actually falling to pieces around me. The point? Just because I do something doesn't mean YOU should. Whatever you do, be careful. Life is exciting enough, don't go looking for trouble.

What Does "Copyright" mean?

"Copyright" means whoever made it, owns it, and owns it from the time of its creation. You are not required to fill out forms or formally register your creation, the copyright is automatic. It also includes electronic creations like computer programs, digital pictures, and websites such as this one.

What that means is that you cannot reproduce anything here for profit (or even just for fun). You can make a copy of a story or favorite picture for your personal enjoyment but you are not allowed to make multiple copies and pass them out to friends (or enemies, depending) without permission of the creator, even if you don't charge for the copies. Most especially you are not to make copies and sell them without permission of the creator. However, most creators are quite happy to give you permission to do this if you ask first.
